Lean Amine Stream
Because the Rich amine solution is heavily loaded with acid gas, it can form gas pockets in the carbon filter resulting in a reduced or completely blocked flow. In terms of safety for the workers who dismantle, inspect and clean out the filters, it is safer to install the carbon filters in the Lean amine stream. Carbon filtration removes surface active contaminants, hydrocarbons corrosion inhibitors, amines degradation products, oils etc. and reduce the tendency of the amine solution in the stripper to foam.
Typical filtration steps are as follows:
- Pre Filter either cartridge type of filter or pre coat filter
- Carbon Absorber filter
- Cartridge Polishing Filter
For Cartridge type of filters we offer the RADIAL PLEATED FILTER ELEMENTS.
The Radial Pleated Filter Elements offer a large filtration surface in a relative small filtration system. Compared to conventional cartridge systems, this system provides flow rates up to 100m3/hour with a single cartridge.This result in fewer filter elements to accommodate your flow requirements. Using fewer elements combined with an outside-to-in flow path enables a reduction in the size of housing required for your application. The result is lower capital investment costs and a compact footprint that saves valuable plant space.
